چکیده
Radio over Fiber (RoF) Technology is integration of radio emission in optical fibre transmission at intervals network infrastructures that's thought of to be cost-efficient, sensible and comparatively versatile system configuration for long-haul transport wireless signals. This project propose a Next generation PON design supports RoF and OFDMA signal integration while not WDM lasers, and demonstrate that 10-Gb/s OFDMA and 3 RF signals at two.1GHz area unit with success transmitted over 20km SMF during a 32-ONU in each upstream and downstream direction.

We propose a coherent optical and radio seamless network concept that allows broadband access without deployment of additional optical fibers within an optical fiber dead zone while enhancing network resilience to disasters. Recently developed radio-over-fiber (RoF) and digital coherent detection technologies can seamlessly convert between optical and radio signals. A millimeter-wave radio with...
متن کاملA Comparative Analysis of WDM RoF - EPON Link with and without DCF
In this paper, we have analyzed the performance of WDM Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) with Radio over Fiber (RoF) optical link with the use of Dispersion compensating fiber at the transmission section. Performance of the system is improved with the use of DCF. The results are compared with and without DCF. The BER, Q factor and eye diagrams have been used for evaluating the performance...

In this invited paper, software defined network (SDN)based approaches for future cost-effective optical mobile backhaul (MBH) networks are discussed, focusing on key principles, throughput optimization and dynamic service provisioning as its use cases. We propose a novel physical-layer aware throughput optimization algorithm that confirms > 100 Mb/s end-to-end per-cell throughputs with ≥2.5 Gb/...

To increase the number of subscribers in passive optical networks (PON), various multiple access schemes like time division multiple access (TDMA), frequency division multiple access (FDMA) and its special form orthogonal FDMA (OFDMA) can be used [1]. OFDMA is spectrally efficient and allows adaption to the channel and traffic demand by flexible bitand power-loading. The uplink (UL) direction i...
